
BLAINE STEWART
Musician. Saxophone player. Private Lesson Teacher
Blaine Stewart is a Dallas-based jazz saxophonist who received his Bachelors of Music in Jazz Performance in 2021 from Florida State University in Tallahassee. Currently, he performs regularly in Dallas and teaches private lessons. While at FSU, he played lead tenor saxophone in Jazz Ensemble II, as well as playing in many combo groups, including one under the direction of Dr. William Peterson and one under Professor Kevin Jones. Blaine has performed in Ruby Diamond Concert Hall, Opperman Music Hall, and Dohnanyi Recital hall. Blaine studied under Dr. David Detweiler and Professor Kevin Jones at FSU, he also studied under Kevin McNerney for a year at Collin College in Plano Texas. While at FSU Blaine enjoyed attending jam sessions in Tallahassee. Prior to college, Blaine was a member of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Jazz Institute, where he had the opportunity to perform at many jazz clubs in Dallas Texas.
